TL;DR: Lamoda launched a Virtual Wardrobe in its shopping app that, according to Russian press citing the company's press service, automatically loads items you already bought and suggests ready-made outfits. You can also build a look by hand. The feature sits inside Lamoda's AI Style Guide. We haven't tested it, so we can't vouch for how the outfits look.

How Virtual Wardrobe works, per the report

www1.ru says the wardrobe fills itself with purchases the shopper has already made on Lamoda. From there the app suggests ready-made outfits. Shoppers who prefer to build by hand can do that too. Looks can pull from purchased items, from favourites, or from personal recommendations.

The Virtual Wardrobe sits inside Lamoda's broader AI Style Guide ecosystem ("Г(ии)д по стилю"). Per www1.ru, that ecosystem already includes an AI stylist and online try-on, plus photo search and an outfits / "Looks" function. The coverage emphasises one practical difference: shoppers do not have to photograph and digitise every garment themselves. Purchase history does that first pass.

Treat the survey figures in the same piece as company-cited claims, not independent research. www1.ru reports that 62.8% of users say they have nothing to wear. Another cited figure: 54.4% want to tidy their wardrobe. A third: 47% struggle to plan for a new season. We haven't audited those percentages.

Older coverage from January 2026 described Style Guide and said an online wardrobe was planned for spring. Inc Russia separately reported Lamoda was preparing a digital wardrobe that could also work with clothes bought elsewhere. Today's story is the consumer launch of the wardrobe feature inside the app. It is not those earlier "coming soon" notes.

Why it matters

Big fashion marketplaces are folding try-on and a closet into the shopping app. That is the same wave as Meta Style Sketch alternatives, Acloset's wishlist try-on and Mira Mirror's closet mode. Lamoda's hook is purchase-history auto-fill inside one store. More of the category is in our guides to the best AI wardrobe apps and virtual closet apps.

Where TryAnyOutfit fits

If you want outfits and try-on that are not locked to one retailer's catalog, TryAnyOutfit takes a different path. You add outfits to a calendar. You keep saved clothes in a digital wardrobe. You can ask the AI stylist for ideas using clothes from that wardrobe. Its main job is try-on. Add your photo and any outfit image or screenshot, including a product photo from a shop, and see the outfit on your real photo. That works in the iPhone and Android apps or the web Studio, with shared credits.
