How to try on clothes online

Start with two images: a photo of you and the clothes you want to try. Use a product image, a shopping screenshot or a photo of clothes you own.

  • Add your person photo and clothing reference in the tool above.
  • Select Generate in Studio to carry your images into the editor in the same browser.
  • Sign in, review your inputs and use paid credits to generate. Compare the result with the original garment before deciding what to buy.

Choose clear photos of you and the clothes

Use even lighting and keep the area you want to change visible. A face-only selfie is not enough to preview a full outfit.

  • Your photo: stand facing the camera, full body or waist up, arms away from your sides.
  • The outfit: show the whole garment in a product photo, flat-lay or model photo. Crop out shopping buttons and unrelated items.
  • Avoid heavy filters, deep shadows and objects covering the clothing. Keep the original images for comparison.

Compare outfits before you buy

Use the same person photo to compare two jacket colors, a dress for an event or combinations from your wardrobe. Keep each garment reference beside its result: AI can change prints, seams and proportions, so an attractive preview is not necessarily an accurate one.

A visual preview, not a size recommendation

Virtual try-on creates a new image. It does not measure your body or tell you how fabric stretches, feels or fits. Check the retailer's size chart, garment measurements and return policy before ordering.

Questions people ask first

Is virtual clothes try-on free?

Selecting photos and settings is free. Generate in Studio opens your choices in the Studio editor. You need to sign in and have paid credits to generate an image. Each image uses one credit.

Do I need to install an app?

No. The tool runs in your browser on desktop and phone. TryAnyOutfit also has iPhone and Android apps that share the same account and credits if you prefer them.

What happens to my photo?

The public tool saves your chosen photos in your browser so Studio can restore them after sign-in. Uploads and generation happen in Studio. See our privacy policy for details about processing and storage.

Which clothes can I try on?

Use a clear reference for a top, trousers, a dress, a jacket or a full outfit. Product images and photos of your own clothes can provide the reference. Results vary, especially with layered clothing, detailed prints or hidden garment edges.

Prefer it on your phone?

The app shares the same account, credits and looks.
