TryAnyOutfit vs Fotor AI Clothes Changer
Fotor is a photo editor that also changes clothes. TryAnyOutfit is built for one job: put a clothing screenshot on a photo of you.
What Fotor's clothes changer is for
Fotor sells a full editor: backgrounds, retouching, templates, and a long list of AI tools. The clothes changer is one of those tools. Keep it if you already live in that suite and a clothing edit is one step in a larger design job.
People look for a Fotor alternative when the job is narrower. They have a photo of themselves and a store screenshot, and they want that outfit on their body. They do not need posters or a template library in the same tab.

Credits, privacy, and when to stay
If you only want a try-on, a two-credit clothes-changer inside a larger editor is extra machinery. If you already pay Fotor for design work, adding a dedicated try-on next to it can still be cheaper than forcing every outfit through that suite.
The privacy split is practical. TryAnyOutfit states that uploaded photos are not used for training and are deleted from our servers within 72 hours of a generation. Fotor's policy, as of this check, publishes gift-credit AIGC to its community unless you opt out. If you are trying clothes on your own body, that default matters.
Stay on Fotor when the clothes edit is one step among backgrounds, type, and export presets. Switch when the only question is "how does this garment look on me?"
How to move a photo over
There is no project file to export. Bring the same two images you would use in Fotor.

- Generate in StudioOne image uses one paid credit. Review the look, then check the retailer size chart before you buy. The preview does not measure fit.
Questions before you switch
Is TryAnyOutfit a free Fotor clothes changer alternative?
No. Photo setup on /tryon is free. Generating an image needs a signed-in account and paid credits. One try-on uses one credit. Fotor's help center says its AI Clothes Changer uses two credits per image and also offers free credits through daily tasks.
Does Fotor keep my clothes-changer photos private?
Read Fotor's current privacy policy. As of 20 Sep 2026 it says AIGC input and output from unsubscribed users on gift credits are public in its community by default, with an opt-out. Paid TryAnyOutfit generations are not posted to a public gallery. Uploaded photos used for a TryAnyOutfit generation are deleted from our servers within 72 hours.
Can I move a Fotor project into TryAnyOutfit?
There is nothing to import. Keep the two images you already have (your photo and the clothing screenshot), add them on /tryon, then generate in Studio.
Does either tool tell me my size?
No. TryAnyOutfit is a visual preview of an outfit on your photo. It does not measure your body or replace a retailer size chart. Fotor's clothes changer is also an image edit, not a fitting room.
