Rate My Outfit AI: Apps That Give Outfit Feedback cover with a floor mirror, a rack with a rust blazer and green trousers, and a phone on a stool

Short answer: For a free, quick verdict, use a web tool. Outafit ranks two to five outfits for an occasion with no account, and OutfitScore gives a 0 to 100 score without signing up. On iPhone, GRWM has by far the most ratings of the dedicated apps, but its tips need a subscription. If you already keep a closet in Fits or Acloset, their AI stylists will rate a look too.

Is the blazer too much for a Tuesday? People now ask their phones that at the mirror, and a whole category of "rate my outfit AI" tools has grown up to answer it. Some are good.

We make TryAnyOutfit, and to be clear up front, it doesn't score outfits. It's a try-on app, so it shows up here as the step after the feedback. Everything else on this list does rate looks, and we think the free web tools are enough for most people.

A second opinion before you leave the house.

What an outfit rating AI actually checks

You upload a photo of what you're wearing. The tool returns a score and a few tips, often tied to an occasion you pick. DressCheck on Google Play is one of the few that publishes its criteria; color harmony and proportion are two of the nine. Most others keep theirs vague.

A score is the model's opinion of a photo. It can't see how the fabric moves, and a bad mirror shot will drag it down. Use it to settle a choice between two looks, not as a verdict on you.

What each rate my outfit AI tool gives you: Outafit ranks 2 to 5 looks, OutfitScore 0 to 100, Drip 1 to 10 with a roast, GRWM tips, Fits and Acloset stylists

Web tools are free. Apps tie the feedback to your closet.

1. Free web tools: Outafit, OutfitScore and Drip

Outafit is the one we'd open when the real question is "this or that." Upload two to five outfit photos, name the occasion, and it ranks them from best to least suited. The FAQ says you don't need an account or credits, and that photos are processed in real time and deleted after the rating. There's also a mode that generates new looks.

OutfitScore rates a look from 0 to 100 in a few seconds, with brief tips on fit and color. Basic analysis needs no signup. A free account saves your last six analyses. Pro is $9.99 a month and adds an outfit comparison tool, a virtual closet and AI photos of you in the corrected outfit. Separate match and roast tools sit on the same site.

Drip's AI outfit rater gives a 1 to 10 score, a roast or praise, and tips to fix the look. It's free on the web. Pick it if you want blunt feedback, and skip it before a job interview.

Two candidates for the same day. A ranking tool is built for this.

2. GRWM: the most-rated iPhone app

Most "rate my outfit" apps on the US App Store have only a handful of ratings. GRWM - AI Stylist is the exception, with 4.6 stars from about 1,900 ratings. You snap a mirror photo, choose what you're dressing for, and get ratings and tips. The listing states plainly that outfit tips and analysis require a subscription. Plans include weekly at $3.99, monthly from $6.99 and annual from $19.99. It's iPhone only.

Two smaller apps do the same job. Rate My Outfit (13 ratings) rates each piece, not just the whole look, and Outfit Rater - Outfitby (28 ratings) adds a community feed where people comment on your outfit. Both sell weekly plans at $4.99. On Android, DressCheck gives a 0 to 100 score across nine criteria, starts you with free credits and shows ads.

3. Fits: a rating that knows your closet

Fits is a wardrobe app first. Its AI Stylist has a "Rate my outfit" card: attach a photo and the stylist scores it. Before sending, you can switch the stylist's persona, from edgy to business, and each one judges differently. If you've added your clothes, it suggests pieces from your wardrobe to swap in. The app is free on iPhone and Android and holds 4.59 stars from 5,692 ratings. Paid extras come through Fits Pro and AI credit packs.

4. Acloset: ask the stylist in chat

Acloset's AI stylist takes questions like "does this match?" alongside "what should I wear today?" It isn't a scoring tool, but if your closet already lives there, asking is quicker than uploading to a new site. It's free for up to 100 items, with Basic at $3.99 a month after that.

5. TryAnyOutfit: after the feedback says "swap it"

Feedback usually ends with a change: different shoes, a lighter jacket. TryAnyOutfit lets you see that swap before you buy or dig it out. Add a photo of yourself and a product image or store screenshot, and the try-on shows the new piece on you. The AI stylist suggests outfits from your saved wardrobe when you tell it where you're going.

It doesn't rate outfits, and a preview isn't a fit check. It won't tell you your size. You can try it on your phone or at tryanyoutfit.com/tryon; for costs, see pricing.

How to pick

For a this-or-that decision right now, use Outafit. For a number, OutfitScore or Drip will do. If you'd rather keep everything in one app, Fits or Acloset. Pay for GRWM only if you'll use it most days, since the tips sit behind the subscription.

Whichever you pick, read the privacy terms before uploading a full-length photo. Outafit and OutfitScore say so on their own pages; most small apps don't. For more on AI styling, see AI stylist apps and outfit ideas apps.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free AI that rates my outfit?

Yes. Outafit, OutfitScore and Drip all rate outfits for free on the web. Outafit and OutfitScore's basic check don't need an account (checked October 27, 2026).

What is the best rate my outfit app for iPhone?

GRWM - AI Stylist has the most ratings among dedicated outfit raters on the US App Store, 4.6 stars from about 1,900, but its outfit tips and analysis require a subscription. Fits and Acloset include an AI stylist that can rate a look for free.

How accurate is an AI outfit rating?

A score is the model's opinion of one photo. Lighting and the mirror angle affect it, and it can't see how fabric moves. It's most useful for choosing between two looks.

Does TryAnyOutfit rate outfits?

No. TryAnyOutfit is a try-on app. It shows a new piece on your own photo, so you can preview a swap a rating tool suggests. It doesn't score looks, measure fit or pick your size.
