Short answer: Glance AI is two products, and I wouldn't treat them as one. Glance – My Personal Shopper is the shopping agent. Glance AI Lockscreen is a separate lock-screen app. If you want to try outfits on your own photo, use a try-on app such as TryAnyOutfit or FitRoom. Alta Daily is the free closet pick. Acloset covers stylist chat. We make TryAnyOutfit, so weigh our section with that in mind.

Glance mixes a shopping agent with a lock-screen product. Most alternatives are strong at one job.

What Glance includes

On glance.com, Glance brands itself as an intelligent shopping agent. The pitch covers fashion and beauty first, then home décor. The US App Store lists Glance - My Personal Shopper from GLANCE INMOBI PTE LTD, free to download. The listing says it builds a shoppable feed, works through chat and Siri AI, and generates styled try-ons on your device. It claims those try-ons can finish in about 30 seconds and stay unlimited at no extra cost. You can add a photo to see yourself in looks.

Google Play lists the same shopping app under Glance – My Personal Shopper. Play also lists Glance AI Lockscreen, with ads. That second listing is about AI looks from a selfie. It also adds live widgets on a customizable lock screen. It is not the shopping agent.

India traffic often hits Glance through phone lock screens. US search for "glance ai" still lands on the shopping agent. Ratings and update dates sit in Sources.

Glance AI features mapped to alternatives: shopping feed and chat, lock screen looks, try-on on your photo, closet and stylist

Where each Glance job shows up elsewhere. Screenshot try-on on your real photo is the rare piece.

1. TryAnyOutfit: if you shop from screenshots

Glance's best shopping-agent trick for many people is seeing a look on yourself. We do that on your real photo instead of an avatar. Add a clear photo of yourself and any outfit image or screenshot, and you'll see the look on you.

There's a styling side too. The AI Closet Stylist builds outfit ideas only from pieces you own. Credits are shared between the phone apps and the web studio.

Uploaded photos are auto-deleted after 72 hours unless you save them. There's no free trial, but it's cheap to start; see pricing. It previews a look. It won't measure fit or choose your size.

2. FitRoom: if you want try-on on your own photo

FitRoom skips the shopping feed. Upload a garment photo, then your own photo, and it changes the clothes. You can use a preset model instead if you'd rather not upload yourself.

Besides the phone apps there's a web version at fitroom.app. The US App Store purchase list shows a weekly plan at $4.99 and yearly plans at $29.99 or $39.99. Recheck before you buy.

3. Alta Daily: if you don't want to pay

No in-app purchases are listed for Alta on the US App Store. You still get try-ons on an avatar that looks like you, and Alta builds outfits from your closet for any day or event.

Unlike Glance's lock-screen product, Alta is a closet tool first. See Alta Daily alternatives if it isn't quite right.

4. Acloset: if the stylist chat is what you use most

If you liked Glance's mix of chat and curated looks, start here. Acloset has an AI stylist you chat with, plus a personal color and fit diagnosis. Its try-on builds an avatar from one full-body photo.

The closet is free for a listed item cap. Paid Basic has been listed at $3.99 a month on the US App Store; confirm the current purchase list. Our best AI stylist apps guide covers more.

How to choose

On Android, Glance AI Lockscreen is a separate install from the shopping agent. Turn off Smart Lock Screen in phone settings if that was the annoyance. For shopping and try-on, pick by the job.

For screenshots from anywhere, pick a try-on app: TryAnyOutfit or FitRoom. Alta Daily is free and has the biggest following here. Acloset covers the stylist and color side best. Our best AI stylist apps guide goes wider.
