Short answer: Indyx is the best free outfit planner app with a calendar, and it logs cost per wear every time you schedule a look. GetWardrobe and Acloset are the ones to pick if you want the weather to shape the plan, and Stylebook is the pay-once option for iPhone. If you want to see a planned outfit on a photo of yourself, TryAnyOutfit pairs a 7-day planner with try-on.

Planning outfits on Sunday sounds fussy. Then a Monday comes where nothing goes together. A calendar moves that decision to a calm moment, which is why we think it's the one planner feature worth paying attention to. Plenty of closet apps call themselves planners. We kept only those whose App Store listing or website describes an actual calendar, and noted what each adds to it.

One disclosure. We make TryAnyOutfit, the last app here. It's a try-on app with a planner, not a closet app with try-on, and we've ranked it that way.

## Indyx: best free outfit calendar

Indyx lets you schedule outfits to a calendar for the week, and it tracks the cost per wear of your pieces automatically as you go. You can also save an outfit selfie to the day, so the calendar doubles as a style diary. Outfits are built on drag-and-drop boards. Collections handle packing lists and seasonal capsules.

None of that needs a subscription, and that's why it tops our list. Insider ($12.99 a month or $74.99 a year) adds detailed analytics and more customization, and Indyx also sells sessions with human stylists who work from your closet. On the US App Store it holds 4.8 stars from about 1,600 ratings. If you're torn between it and its closest rival, read [Indyx vs Whering](/blog/indyx-vs-whering).

## GetWardrobe: best for planning around the weather

GetWardrobe puts your local forecast on the outfit calendar, so you can plan the week knowing Thursday is going to rain. There's a daily forecast with clothing suggestions too, plus packing lists and stats on what you wear most and what never leaves the hanger.

The free closet holds up to 100 items and includes the calendar. Its AI Outfit Generator deals 10 outfits per run from your clothes with unlimited free runs. Premium removes the item cap from $4.99 a month. It syncs between Apple devices and the web, and there's an Android app. App Store rating: 4.3 from about 790 ratings, the smallest sample here.

## Acloset: best for daily outfit picks

Acloset's Outfit Calendar lets you plan ahead, then track what you wore so your most-worn pieces and cost per wear show up over time. Its AI stylist sends daily outfit suggestions based on the weather and your schedule. That makes it the pick if you'd rather approve a plan than build one.

It's free for up to 100 items. Bigger closets need a subscription: Basic is $3.99 a month or $27.99 a year, and two pricier tiers sit above it. Acloset has 4.5 stars from about 5,400 App Store ratings and more than 5 million Google Play downloads.

## Fits: best for looking back at what you wore

Fits' calendar works in both directions. You can plan outfits ahead or scroll back through past ones, which helps if your real problem is wearing the same three looks on repeat. Building an outfit means swiping through your clothes. An AI stylist and a virtual try-on sit on top.

The closet is free. Fits Pro runs from $9.99 to $59.99 depending on the plan, and AI credits are sold separately, from 5 for $1.99. It has 4.6 stars from about 5,600 App Store ratings.

*Three workdays planned in one go. The app's job is to remember it for you.*

## Stylebook: best one-time purchase

Stylebook has been around for more than 15 years and charges once: $4.99, with no subscription on its US listing. You get an outfit calendar, packing lists that tell you which clothes to pack, and automatic cost per wear. There's also an outfit generator that shuffles your closet like a deck of cards, handy when planning stalls. More on that in our [random outfit generator](/blog/random-outfit-generator) roundup.

We'd still hesitate. It's an iPhone and iPad app with no Android version. The last App Store update we saw was June 15, 2025. Its rating is 4.7 stars from about 8,900 reviews.

## Pureple: best for trips

Pureple pairs a day-by-day calendar with packing lists that organize themselves for a trip. You can also save an AI try-on of an outfit set (shown on a model, not on you) straight to the calendar. Pureple lists the calendar among its premium features, so budget for Premium: $6.99 a week, $14.99 a month or $89.99 a year, the yearly plan with a 7-day trial. Its App Store rating is the lowest here, 3.9 from about 6,100 ratings.

## TryAnyOutfit: best for seeing the plan on you

TryAnyOutfit's Closet tab has a week planner covering the next seven days. You pick a piece for each day from your saved wardrobe, and our site describes adding outfits to your calendar. An AI stylist suggests outfits from your wardrobe once you tell it where you're going.

Where it differs from the apps above is the try-on. Add a photo of yourself and any outfit image, including a screenshot of something you haven't bought, and you get a preview of you wearing it. Each try-on uses one credit: packs are 5 for $2.99, 15 for $4.99 or 30 for $8.99, and plans are 20 try-ons for $7.99 a week or 50 for $14.99 a month. There are no free renders. It runs on iPhone and Android and in the [web studio](/tryon).

As a pure closet planner it's lighter than Indyx or Stylebook. A preview shows the look, but it doesn't measure fit or choose a size.

## Two planners without a calendar view

Alta Daily is free on iPhone and the web, with a 4.9 rating from about 16,700 reviews. It plans outfits around your schedule and your trips, packing lists included, but its listing doesn't describe a calendar. Whering is free on iPhone and Android and plans outfits for events, with packing lists and a Clueless-style shuffle. Neither made the main list for that reason. Both appear in our [best wardrobe apps](/blog/best-wardrobe-apps) and [apps like Clueless Closet](/blog/apps-like-clueless-closet) roundups.

## How to choose an outfit planner app

Start with how many clothes you'll enter. Acloset and GetWardrobe cap free closets at 100 items, while Indyx doesn't. If you'd rather not photograph everything, look at import options: Indyx reads forwarded receipts, and GetWardrobe saves items from online stores.

Then decide what the calendar should do for you. Weather points to GetWardrobe or Acloset. A record of past outfits points to Fits or Indyx. Trips point to Pureple or Stylebook.

If you're still building the closet itself, see [outfit maker apps](/blog/outfit-maker-apps) and [best AI stylist apps](/blog/best-ai-stylist-apps).
