"AI stylist app" usually means one of three things: outfit ideas from clothes you already own, suggestions on a digital avatar, or a look rendered on your own photo. Same search phrase. Different jobs.

We make TryAnyOutfit, so our last section is the photo try-on option. The five before that style from a digital closet. US App Store prices and ratings below. We haven't graded anyone's suggestions. And none of them knows your size.

*An AI stylist chat on a phone, and the clothes those suggestions are supposed to use.*

If you want a human stylist in the mix (Stitch Fix, Indyx Lookbooks), that's a different comparison. This page stays on AI that works from your wardrobe.

The short version first.

## Alta Daily: free stylist on your own closet

Alta Daily calls itself a personal AI stylist. You build a digital closet (receipts, their database, or photos with background cleanup), then ask for daily looks based on weather and schedule, or for a specific event. Pin a jacket you want to wear and it builds around that piece. Packing lists and travel lookbooks are on the listing. Virtual try-on is on an avatar that looks like you, not a raw photo try-on like ours.

About 4.9 stars from roughly 16,400 ratings. The US listing shows Free with no in-app purchases listed. That can change; confirm in the store before you catalogue your whole closet.

## Fits: swipe first, ask the stylist second

Fits digitizes the closet, auto-tags colour and brand, and lets you swipe pieces into outfits. The AI stylist suggests looks from what you already have. Mood boards, a calendar, and virtual try-on are also on the listing.

US IAP shows Fits Pro at $9.99, $29.99 and $59.99, plus AI credits from 5 for $1.99. About 4.6 stars from roughly 5,600 ratings. For a try-on-focused side-by-side, see [TryAnyOutfit vs Fits](/compare/tryanyoutfit-vs-fits).

## Acloset: chat stylist with a free 100-item ceiling

Acloset is a digital wardrobe with an on-demand AI stylist chat ("what should I wear today?", "does this match?"). Daily suggestions factor in weather and schedule. The listing also mentions personal colour and fit diagnosis, an outfit calendar, and a community feed.

All features are free for up to 100 items on the listing; subscriptions raise the ceiling. US plans include Basic Monthly at $3.99 and Premium Monthly at $9.99. About 4.4 stars from roughly 5,400 ratings. iPhone and Android.

## Style DNA: selfie profile, then closet outfits

Style DNA starts with a selfie-based style profile (seasonal colour type, body type, style type), then serves daily outfit ideas from clothes you photograph into a virtual closet. There's an AI stylist chatbot for questions like "what goes with green cargo pants?" and a store check that asks whether a piece suits your profile before you buy.

US IAP lists monthly subscriptions from $7.99 and several annual and add-on prices. About 4.3 stars from roughly 7,500 ratings. iPhone only on the US listing we checked.

## Pureple: score the looks you build

Pureple's pitch is the classic "closet full, nothing to wear" problem. Snap your clothes, let the AI stylist build outfits from what you own, and score looks you assemble yourself. Capsule planning and community lookbooks are on the listing.

US IAP includes a Weekly Subscription at $6.99, a Pro Version at $14.99, and other yearly plans. About 3.9 stars from roughly 6,100 ratings.

## TryAnyOutfit: stylist that can put the look on you

Most AI stylists stop at a flat-lay outfit or an avatar. With TryAnyOutfit you keep a digital wardrobe and an outfit calendar, ask the AI stylist where you're going (and which pieces or colour mood to build around), then jump into a try-on on a clear photo of yourself. Discover is a feed of looks you can try on. Get the look finds similar shoppable pieces from a photo you upload.

It runs on iPhone and Android, and in the [web studio](/tryon). Setup and the [style quiz](/quiz2) are free. Each try-on, face swap or custom edit costs one credit. Packs are 5 for $2.99, 15 for $4.99 or 30 for $8.99. Plans are 20 try-ons for $7.99 a week or 50 for $14.99 a month.

## Which AI stylist app fits?

If you want a free closet stylist with packing lists and an avatar try-on, start with Alta Daily.

If you like building looks yourself and chatting an AI for suggestions, Fits. Acloset if weather-aware daily ideas and a 100-item free tier are enough. Style DNA if colour analysis is the missing step. Pureple if you want the app to score outfits you assemble.

If the missing step is seeing the suggestion on your own photo before you pay, that's our lane.
