People search "clueless closet app" for the same morning problem the movie made famous: a full wardrobe and no idea what to put on. Clueless (clueless.clothing) is one answer. So are other closet planners — and a few that let you try the look on your photo before you get dressed.

We make TryAnyOutfit. Our section is the try-on option. We haven't ranked outfit quality. Closet apps organize and suggest. They don't measure fit.

## Clueless (clueless.clothing): wardrobe-first, no shopping feed

Clueless is built around clothes you already own. Add pieces from photos, ask Katire for styling grounded in that wardrobe, use Daily Decision for today's look, and plan outfits across the week. The site stresses there is no shopping feed or catalog to browse.

Free to download. After the demo, Premium is required; there is no ongoing free tier on the listing. US plans: Monthly $9.99, Annual $69.00 (eligible customers $49.99 the first year, then $69). About 4.3 stars from 4 ratings on the US App Store when we checked — a thin sample. iPhone and Android per their site.

If you want the movie-style "what do I wear from what I own" loop and you're fine paying after the demo, start here. Confirm the app still matches the listing before you subscribe.

## Other apps like Clueless Closet

**Alta Daily.** A personal AI stylist on a digital closet. Daily looks factor in weather and schedule. You can pin a piece and build around it. Packing lists and travel lookbooks are on the listing. Virtual try-on is on an avatar that looks like you, not a raw photo try-on like ours. About 4.9 stars from roughly 16,400 ratings. US listing shows Free with no in-app purchases listed. That can change.

**Fits.** Digitizes the closet, auto-tags colour and brand, and lets you swipe pieces into outfits. The listing also covers AI stylist chat and mood boards, plus a calendar and virtual try-on. US IAP shows Fits Pro at $9.99, $29.99 and $59.99, plus AI credits from 5 for $1.99. About 4.6 stars from roughly 5,600 ratings. For a try-on-focused side-by-side, see [TryAnyOutfit vs Fits](/compare/tryanyoutfit-vs-fits).

**Whering.** A large free digital closet with a social layer (open closets, friends' outfits). The listing's "Dress Me" shuffle is the Clueless-inspired outfit creator. You also get an outfit planner and packing tools. US IAP includes credit packs (from 10 for $2.99) and supporter tiers. About 4.7 stars from roughly 11,900 ratings. Strong if you want inspiration from other people's real closets. Less so if you want a quiet, private planner.

**Stylebook.** A long-running closet organizer. Import clothes, lay out magazine-style collages, and shuffle new combinations. Packing lists and cost-per-wear tracking are included. It is a $4.99 paid app on the US App Store (about 4.7 stars from roughly 8,900 ratings). AI image generation on the listing needs Apple Intelligence. No photo try-on of you in the outfit — fine if you like controlling the collage yourself and prefer a one-time purchase.

## TryAnyOutfit: plan the look, then put it on your photo

Most Clueless-style apps stop at a flat lay or an avatar. With TryAnyOutfit you keep a digital wardrobe and an outfit calendar, ask the AI stylist for ideas, then jump into a try-on on a clear photo of yourself. Discover is a feed of looks you can try on. Get the look finds similar shoppable pieces from a photo.

*Pick the combination in the wardrobe. Preview it on your photo before you change.*

It runs on iPhone and Android, and in the [web studio](/tryon). Setup and the [style quiz](/quiz2) are free. Each try-on, face swap or custom edit costs one credit. Packs are 5 for $2.99, 15 for $4.99 or 30 for $8.99. Plans are 20 try-ons for $7.99 a week or 50 for $14.99 a month.

## Which app should you try?

If you want a free AI closet stylist with packing lists, Alta Daily. Swipe-first with try-on on the listing: Fits. Social closets: Whering. One-time purchase and manual collages: Stylebook.

If the missing step is seeing the outfit on your own photo before you get dressed, that's our lane.
